Relation to Electronic Signatures in Global and National Commerce Act

The provisions of ORS 97.951 (Short title) to 97.982 (Alteration of document of anatomical gift prohibited) modify, limit and supersede the Electronic Signatures in Global and National Commerce Act, 15 U.S.C. 7001 et seq., but do not modify, limit or supersede section 101(a) of the Electronic Signatures in Global and National Commerce Act, 15 U.S.C. 7001, or authorize electronic delivery of any of the notices described in section 103(b) of the Electronic Signatures in Global and National Commerce Act, 15 U.S.C. 7003(b) as in effect January 1, 2008. Note: 97.983 (Relation to Electronic Signatures in Global and National Commerce Act) was enacted into law by the Legislative Assembly but was not added to or made a part of ORS chapter 97 or any series therein by legislative action. See Preface to Oregon Revised Statutes for further explanation.
