Exemptions from license requirement
The following persons are exempt from ORS 744.300 (License and indorsement):
(1) An employee of an insurer, when the employee is acting as a managing general agent for the insurer.
(2) A United States manager of the United States branch of an alien insurer.
(3) An underwriting manager who, pursuant to contract, manages all the insurance operations of the insurer, is under common control with the insurer and is subject to ORS 732.517 (Purpose of ORS 732.517 to 732.546) to 732.592 (Recovery from parent corporation or holding company if domestic insurer ordered into liquidation or rehabilitation), and whose compensation is not based on the volume of premiums written.
(4) The attorney or attorney-in-fact authorized by and acting for the subscribers of a reciprocal insurer or interinsurance exchange under powers of attorney. [1991 c.495 §3; 1993 c.447 §63a]
