Purpose of Compact of Free Association Premium Assistance Program

ORS 735.601 (Purpose of Compact of Free Association Premium Assistance Program) to 735.617 (COFA Premium Assistance Program Fund) establish the COFA Premium Assistance Program to be administered by the Department of Consumer and Business Services. The purpose of the program is to provide financial assistance to enable low-income citizens of the island nations in the Compact of Free Association who are residing in Oregon to purchase qualified health plan coverage through the health insurance exchange and to pay out-of-pocket costs associated with the coverage. Note: 735.601 (Purpose of Compact of Free Association Premium Assistance Program) to 735.617 (COFA Premium Assistance Program Fund) were enacted into law by the Legislative Assembly but were not added to or made a part of ORS chapter 735 or any series therein by legislative action.
