As used in ORS 596.615 (“Livestock” defined) to 596.681 (Limit of state indemnity to livestock owner also receiving federal indemnity), “livestock” means animals raised for the production of food for human consumption and those animals carrying diseases that threaten animals raised for the production of food for human consumption.
