Law applicable to dissolution of authority

A water authority or a sanitary authority formed under ORS 450.600 (Joint authorities) to 450.989 (Apportionment of cost among serviced property owners) may be dissolved in the manner set forth in ORS 198.920 (Dissolution procedure) to 198.955 (Disposition of assets) for other districts. [1993 c.577 §12]

Note: 450.788 (Law applicable to dissolution of authority) was added to and made a part of 450.600 (Joint authorities) to 450.989 (Apportionment of cost among serviced property owners) by legislative action but was not added to any smaller series therein. See Preface to Oregon Revised Statutes for further explanation.

Where city with home rule charter enacted ordinance imposing franchise fee on sanitary authority for use of citys rights-of-way, ordinance operates concurrently with state law and is not preempted.
