Plumbing product exemption

(1) The State Plumbing Board may, by rule, grant partial or complete exemptions from any of the provisions of ORS 447.010 (Definitions for ORS 447.010 to 447.156 and 447.992) to 447.156 (Sale of uncertified plumbing products prohibited) and 455.010 (Definitions for ORS chapter 455) to 455.740 (Denial of certificate) to any plumbing product if it is determined that the plumbing product does not present a danger to the health and safety of the people of this state.

(2) If the board grants an exemption pursuant to subsection (1) of this section the board may determine that the product may be installed by a person not licensed under ORS 693.010 (Definitions) to 693.105 (Procedure for refusal, revocation or suspension of license).
