Spreading disease prohibited
  • health certificates to be issued by health professionals

(1) No person shall willfully cause the spread of any communicable disease within this state.

(2) Whenever the laws of this state require a person to secure a health certificate, such certificate shall be acquired from a physician licensed by the Oregon Medical Board or the Oregon Board of Naturopathic Medicine, a physician assistant licensed under ORS 677.505 (Application of provisions governing physician assistants to other health professions) to 677.525 (Fees) or a nurse practitioner licensed under ORS 678.375 (Nurse practitioners) to 678.390 (Authority of nurse practitioner and clinical nurse specialist to write prescriptions or dispense drugs) in accordance with rules adopted by the Oregon Health Authority.
