Parents-as-teachers programs

Relating to the governance structure of public education; creating new provisions; amending ORS 326.425, 329.150, 329.165, 329.195, 350.075, 417.788, 417.793, 417.796, 417.827 and 417.847; and declaring an emergency.

The Early Learning Division shall support parents-as-teachers programs statewide as funding becomes available. If a program is offered, the program shall be part of a comprehensive, research-based approach to parent education and support. The program shall be consistent with the voluntary early learning system plan overseen by the Early Learning Council. [2001 c.831 §12b; 2012 c.37 §§52,94; 2013 c.624 §§31,32]
