Definitions for ORS 348.282 and 348.283

As used in this section and ORS 348.283 (Oregon Troops to Teachers program):

(1) “Armed Forces of the United States” means:

(a) The Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps and Coast Guard of the United States;

(b) The reserves of the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps and Coast Guard of the United States; and

(c) The Oregon National Guard and a National Guard of any other state or territory.

(2) “Public post-secondary institution” means:

(a) A public university listed in ORS 352.002 (Public universities); and

(b) A community college operated under ORS chapter 341.

(3) “Veteran” has the meaning given that term in ORS 408.225 (Definitions for ORS 408.225 to 408.237). [2005 c.831 §8; 2009 c.41 §17; 2011 c.637 §152; 2013 c.747 §95; 2013 c.768 §31]
