Department powers in exchanges, settlements and indemnifications

The Department of State Lands may enter into contracts with any person owning lands adapted to the purposes of ORS 273.316 (Exchanging state lands to accumulate larger tracts) to 273.345 (Determination of advisability of selection of indemnity lands within national forest reserves) and 273.511 (Acquisition of submersible and swamp lands), for the subdivision, settlement and sale of all or any portion thereof, under the direction and supervision of the department and such conditions as may be agreed to.
