Exception to notice requirement

If there is no boat, floating home or boathouse identification number on a boat, floating home or boathouse and there is no registration number or other markings through which the State Marine Board could identify the owner of the boat, floating home or boathouse, then a removing authority otherwise required to provide notice under ORS 830.917 (Notice of intent to take custody) is not required to provide such notice and the boat, floating home or boathouse may be removed and disposed of as provided in ORS 98.245 (Disposition of unclaimed property).
