Forfeiture for noncompliance

Any company, corporation, person or receiver operating any railroad who neglects to comply with any order made by the Department of Transportation pursuant to ORS 824.228 (Procedure for determining mode of track crossing of intersecting railroads) or 824.230 (Installation of protective devices where railroads intersect at grade) shall forfeit and pay to the state a penalty of $500 per week for each week of such neglect.
