Orally administered anticancer medication
(1) A health benefit plan that provides coverage for cancer chemotherapy treatment must provide coverage for a prescribed, orally administered anticancer medication used to kill or slow the growth of cancerous cells on a basis no less favorable than intravenously administered or injected cancer medications that are covered as medical benefits.
(2) As used in this section, "health benefit plan" has the meaning given that term in ORS 743.730 (Definitions for ORS 743.730 to 743.773).
(3) The provisions of ORS 743A.001 (Automatic repeal of certain statutes on individual and group health insurance) do not apply to this section. [2007 c.566 §2]

Sec. 8. Section 2 of this 2007 Act [743A.068 (Orally administered anticancer medication)] applies to health benefit plan policies issued or renewed on or after the effective date of this 2007 Act [January 1, 2008]. [2007 c.566 §8]
