Waiver of educational requirement
The Board of Cosmetology may choose to waive all or part of the educational requirement for an applicant in a field of practice and allow the applicant to take the certification examination, provided that the applicant is otherwise qualified to take the examination and:
(1) The Superintendent of Public Instruction determines that the applicant’s education or training is substantially equivalent to the education or training of graduates of schools subject to the rules of the State Board of Education; or
(2) The applicant is certified in another state. [1999 c.425 §8]
