Disposition of fines

All fines imposed and collected under ORS 678.990 (Penalties) (1) shall be paid into the treasury of the county in which such suits, actions or proceedings were commenced. All moneys thus paid into the treasury, over and above the amount necessary to reimburse the county for any expense incurred by the county in any suit, action or proceeding shall be paid before January 1 of each year into the General Fund in the State Treasury and placed to the credit of the Criminal Fine and Assessment Account.
