Rules for certification of surveyors, engineers and geologists

The Water Resources Commission by rule shall establish criteria for the certification of registered, professional surveyors and engineers and geologists practicing as defined in ORS 672.005 (Additional definitions) and 672.505 (Definitions for ORS 672.505 to 672.705), respectively, to conduct surveys to determine whether a permittee has completed all work necessary to perfect an appropriation of water under ORS 537.230 (Time allowed for construction of irrigation or other work), 537.630 (Time allowed for construction work under permit) and 540.530 (Order authorizing change of use, place of use or point of diversion). Note: 537.797 (Rules for certification of surveyors, engineers and geologists), 537.798 (Examination for certification of surveyors, engineers and geologists) and 537.799 (Survey for issuance of water right certificate) were enacted into law by the Legislative Assembly but were not added to or made a part of ORS chapter 537 or any series therein by legislative action.
