"Upland bird" defined
As used in this section and ORS 496.562 (Policy), 496.566 (Contest for stamp design) and 497.153 (Annual resident upland bird stamp), "upland bird" means those bird family members commonly known as pheasant, quail, grouse and partridge, including chukars. [1989 c.406 §2]
Note: 496.558 ("Upland bird" defined) and 496.562 (Policy) were enacted into law by the Legislative Assembly but were not added to or made a part of ORS chapter 496 by legislative action. See Preface to Oregon Revised Statutes for further explanation.
