Building permits

All building permits issued in this state shall contain the following information:

(1) The name and address of the owner of the building or structure to be constructed or altered under the permit;

(2) The name and address of the builder or contractor, if known, who will perform the construction or alteration; and

(3) The street address and legal description or tax lot number of the property on which construction or alteration will occur. [Formerly 456.887]

Note: 455.050 (Building permits) was enacted into law by the Legislative Assembly but was not added to or made a part of ORS chapter 455 or any series therein by legislative action. See Preface to Oregon Revised Statutes for further explanation.

Although state structural specialty code sets standard requiring only single wall construc­tion, home rule city was entitled to enact ordinance requiring new homes to use double wall construc­tion. State ex rel Haley v. Troutdale, 281 Or 203, 576 P2d 1238 (1978)
