Housing of Inmates from Other Jurisdictions Account

The Housing of Inmates from Other Jurisdictions Account is created within the General Fund. Moneys credited to the account are continuously appropriated to the Department of Corrections for costs of incarceration. The Department of Corrections shall deposit all moneys received by the department as reimbursement under ORS 169.053 (Agreements with other counties or Department of Corrections for confinement and detention of offenders) (3) into the account. Note: 421.073 (Housing of Inmates from Other Jurisdictions Account) was enacted into law by the Legislative Assembly but was not added to or made a part of ORS chapter 421 or any series therein by legislative action. See Preface to Oregon Revised Statutes for further explanation.
