Deduction of wage overpayment

(1) When a state employee receives payment of salary or wages in an amount greater than the employee’s entitlement, the amount of overpayment may be deducted from salary or wages earned by the employee.

(2) The deduction may be in such form and manner as the Oregon Department of Administrative Services, by rule, may prescribe. [1995 c.452 §7]

Note: 292.063 (Deduction of wage overpayment) was added to and made a part of ORS chapter 292 by legislative action but was not added to any smaller series therein. See Preface to Oregon Revised Statutes for further explanation.
