Conducting research
  • requiring administrative reports from agencies

The Oregon Department of Administrative Services shall conduct research for use in administrative planning, policy review and organization and methods improvement. Periodic administrative reports to the department and the Governor, designed to outline factually the quantitative and qualitative aspects of work performance by operating units, may be required of state agencies. The department may require submission of such information in reports as will permit sound analysis and will provide the basis for detecting administrative weaknesses, correcting performance difficulties and permitting better planning and management of state services.
