Direct contracts for services of architects, engineers and land surveyors
(1) As used in this section, "consultant" means an architect, engineer or land surveyor.
(2) A local contracting agency may enter into an architectural, engineering or land surveying services contract directly with a consultant if the project described in the contract consists of work that has been substantially described, planned or otherwise previously studied or rendered in an earlier contract with the consultant that was awarded under rules adopted under ORS 279A.065 (Model rules generally) and the new contract is a continuation of that project.
(3) A local contracting agency may adopt criteria for determining when this section applies to an architectural, engineering or land surveying services contract. [2003 c.794 §94]
