Violation of ordinances or regulations

No person shall locate, construct, maintain, repair, alter, or use a building or other structure or use or transfer land in violation of an ordinance or regulation authorized by ORS 215.010 (Definitions) to 215.190 (Violation of ordinances or regulations) and 215.402 (Definitions for ORS 215.402 to 215.438 and 215.700 to 215.780) to 215.438 (Transmission towers). This sec­tion as qualified by ORS 215.130 (Application of ordinances and comprehensive plan) (5) rejects the no­tion that pos­ses­sion of a building permit entitles a prop­erty owner to proceed with construc­tion prohibited by an amend­ment to a zoning ordinance if there has been no actual construc­tion before the amend­ment was adopted.
