Election of first members of board when no formation election required
(1) If an election is not held on the question of formation, an election shall be ordered for the purpose of electing the first members of the district board. When the formation order is entered, the county board shall order an election held in the district, which election shall be held on the next practicable date under ORS 255.345 (Special election dates).
(2) ORS chapter 255 governs the nomination and election of the first board of a district defined under ORS 255.012 (“District” defined) if the district has an elective board.
