Requirement to share geological data regarding territorial sea floor

Any person authorized by a public body, as defined in ORS 174.109 (“Public body” defined), to develop energy resources in Oregon’s territorial sea, shall share any geological and geophysical data, including bathymetry, backscatter, seismic reflection and sample data, generated by the person regarding Oregon’s territorial sea floor with the Oregon territorial sea mapping project at Oregon State University. Note: 196.583 (Requirement to share geological data regarding territorial sea floor) was enacted into law by the Legislative Assembly but was not added to or made a part of ORS chapter 196 or any series therein by legislative action. See Preface to Oregon Revised Statutes for further explanation.
