Purpose of sex offender reporting obligation

(1) The purpose of ORS 163A.005 (Definitions for ORS 163A.005 to 163A.235) to 163A.235 (Agreements to resolve concerns about community notification) is to assist law enforcement agencies in preventing future sex offenses.

(2) The Department of State Police may adopt rules to carry out the responsibilities of the department under ORS 163A.005 (Definitions for ORS 163A.005 to 163A.235) to 163A.235 (Agreements to resolve concerns about community notification). [Formerly 181.814]
