"Mobile tracking device" defined

As used in ORS 133.545 (Issuance of search warrant) and 133.619 (Execution of warrant authorizing mobile tracking device), unless the context requires otherwise, "mobile tracking device" means an electronic or mechanical device which permits the tracking of the movement of a person or object. [1989 c.983 §1]

Note: 133.617 ("Mobile tracking device" defined) and 133.619 (Execution of warrant authorizing mobile tracking device) were enacted into law by the Legislative Assembly but were not added to or made a part of ORS chapter 133 or any series therein by legislative action. See Preface to Oregon Revised Statutes for further explanation.
