Purpose

ORS 12.410 (Definitions for ORS 12.410 to 12.480) to 12.480 (Short title) shall be applied and construed to effectuate its general purpose to make uniform the law with respect to the subject of ORS 12.410 (Definitions for ORS 12.410 to 12.480) to 12.480 (Short title) among states enacting it. An ac­tion for per­sonal injuries caused by breach of implied warranty is clearly one for which “different limita­tion is prescribed by statute” under ORS 12.010 (Time of commencing actions) and thus is not governed by pro­vi­sions of this chapter.
