2011 ORS § 408.235¹
Eligibility for preference

A veteran is eligible to use the preference provided for in ORS 408.230 (Veterans preference in public employment) for a civil service position for which application is made at any time after discharge or release from service in the Armed Forces. Notes of Decisions

Time served in a military reserve unit is not considered service for purpose of limita­tion period of this sec­tion. Davis v. Civil Service Bd., 39 Or App 695, 593 P2d 1209 (1979), Sup Ct review denied
