Voluntary admission of person to treatment facility

  • notice to parent or guardian

Any person may voluntarily apply for admission to any treatment facility operated pursuant to rules of the Oregon Health Authority. The director of the treatment facility shall determine whether the person shall be admitted as a patient, or referred to another appropriate treatment facility or denied referral or admission. If the person is under 18 years of age or an incompetent, the director of the treatment facility shall notify the person’s parents or guardian of the admission or referral. Note: 430.397 (Voluntary admission of person to treatment facility) to 430.401 (Liability of public officers, providers, treatment facilities and sobering facilities) were added to and made a part of ORS chapter 426 by legislative action but were not added to ORS chapter 430 or any smaller series therein. See Preface to Oregon Revised Statutes for further explanation.
