Felony described

Except as provided in ORS 161.585 (Classification of certain crimes determined by punishment) and 161.705 (Reduction of certain felonies to misdemeanors), a crime is a felony if it is so designated in any statute of this state or if a person convicted under a statute of this state may be sentenced to a maximum term of imprisonment of more than one year. [1971 c.743 §67]

A juvenile court adjudica­tion of whether or not a child committed acts which would be a crim­i­nal viola­tion if committed by an adult must necessarily include an adjudica­tion of all af­firm­a­tive de­fenses that would be available to an adult being tried for the same crim­i­nal viola­tion.
